Hi, my name’s Kar and I sing honest songs for fragile people.
Through unguarded lyrics and delicate Scottish vocals, my aim is to bring you hope and comfort amid the challenges and vulnerabilities of life. I play lots of instruments but my favourite is the acoustic guitar. I am happiest when sat in a quiet room, at a clear desk, writing lyrics.
I grew up in a musical household in Dundee, Scotland. I played in orchestras, brass bands and ensembles of seemingly-random combinations of instruments.
I was a member of critically-acclaimed indie miserablists The Scottish Enlightenment, playing bass and cornet. Highlights included supporting Idlewild; appearing in the Eyes video on MTV2 and VH1; and providing backing vocals for the celebrated St Thomas album.
Please see the EPK tab for information about my latest release.
